My Favourite Photos of 2018

As 2018 comes to a close, I've been looking over how eventful this year was for me. It was probably the hardest year I've had yet in my life, but was also the most fruitful in my photo career so I am extremely grateful. I got to photograph legendary artists I never thought I would see in my lifetime, travelled to see and photograph the Vans Warped Tour after it being on my bucket list for the last 7 years, and really be able to find self worth in my work. Here's some of my favourite photos throughout the course of this year!

Started the year off with working with Rise Against which was insane considering they were a huge band I grew up listening to!

Got the opportunity in February to photograph the amazing Paramore, who has been one of my favourite bands for the past 7 years. I've always looked up to Hayley Williams, so this was an absolute dream to photograph for Get Some Magazine. I think these two photos from this show are my favourites of all time so far.

Sleeping With Sirens has been a band I've always wanted to see since 2011, and it was surreal being able to finally see them here in Hawaiʻi.

Anthony Green is honestly the nicest person in the music industry I've ever met, and allowed me to photograph his band Circa Survive for him (which was insane since Circa Survive was one of the first shows I ever snuck my camera into in 2013 to attempt to take concert photos). Forever grateful.

I was fortunate enough to travel with some of my friends to California this summer to see and photograph the Vans Warped Tour, which had some amazing bands on the roster. It was definitely worth the 7 year wait to finally attend this (and I took some of my favourite photos ever as well).

MAX is one of the most energetic artists I've ever seen perform, and would 100% recommend to see this guy if you ever get the chance.

Billie Eilish is definitely a favourite singer of mine, and she's already accomplished so much at such a young age. This was the day before Hawaiʻi was supposed to have a deadly hurricane, but thankfully did not.

Cyndi Lauper is an absolute legend, and I NEVER thought I would hear her perform live in my life, let alone photograph her.

New Order is another legendary artist I was extremely grateful to photograph! The lighting at this show was absolutely gorgeous.

Saosin is a phenomenal band that I honestly never thought would come to Hawaiʻi, and it was amazing to be able to photograph Anthony twice in a year!

Def Leppard is one of the largest bands I've been able to photograph, and is hands down one of my favourite shows this year. Such amazing energy from such legends.

All Time Low is always a super fun, energetic band to photograph. These are probably some of my favourite shots of them to date other than Warped Tour.

Finally, I got to end the year with working for a local band called Kings of Spade that I've worked with quite a few times, and they are amazing to work with every time. They opened for the legendary Guns N' Roses, so this was the largest venue I've been able to photograph an artist at so far! They absolutely killed it and can't wait to see what's in store for them next.
